Dr. Tim Wang, DDS, DICOI,FICOI
Family Dentistry and Implant Specialist
Dr Tim Wang DDS, DICOI, FICOI
Dr. Tim Wang is a proud graduate of Columbia University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He completed a one-year residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), further refining his diagnostic and clinical skills. Prior to dental school, he received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from UCLA.
With over 28 years of clinical experience, Dr. Wang has been serving the Tri-City area—including Fremont, Union City, and Milpitas—for more than 25 years. His passion for dentistry and dedication to patient care drive his commitment to staying at the forefront of modern, comprehensive dental treatment. He completed advanced implant surgical training at UCLA and has successfully placed and restored over 9,000 dental implants—an accomplishment that earned him Diplomate and Fellow status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (DICOI, FICOI), the highest honor awarded by the organization.
Dr. Wang is also a certified provider of advanced Invisalign and laser dentistry. In addition to his private practice, he serves as a faculty member at the University of the Pacific, mentoring future generations of dental professionals.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and the Southern Alameda County Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wang enjoys swimming, skiing, and traveling with his family.
Dr. Donald Lane, DMD
Family Dentistry
Dr. Lane is a native of the Bay Area, having grown up in Pleasanton where he graduated from Amador High School. He then attended Chabot College and San Jose State University earning a B. A. degree in biology with a chemistry minor. After a few years in the restaurant business, it was off to the midwest for dental school at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
During the next four years after graduation, he practiced with a group having four offices scattered in rural southern Illinois. He then returned to California. Dr. Lane has been in dentistry for more than 30 years with a primary focus on preventive dental care. Away from the office, the time is for schooling his daughter and home improvement. Personal interests include daily exercise of either running, bicycling, skiing, or skating along with travel and reading.
Dr. Jonathan Hurng, DDS
Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Jonathan (Jon) Hurng was born in Lafayette, Louisiana but grew up in Cupertino, California. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a B.S. in Bioengineering. Dr. Hurng received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). While at UCSF, Dr. Hurng combined his engineering and dental training to collaborate with material scientists from the Stanford University Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories. He has since published several scientific papers in national journals on dental orthopedics.
After dental school, Dr. Hurng completed his general practice residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he then served as a predoctoral faculty member. Dr. Hurng went on to complete his specialty training in pediatric dentistry through the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Ronald Reagan Hospital along with a Master of Public Health. During his free time Dr. Hurng enjoys watching movies, traveling, kickboxing, and playing video games with his wife, Joy. Dr. Hurng is thankful to be a member of the Columbia Dental healthcare team and aims to provide quality care to children throughout the Bay Area communities.
Dr. Alicia Lo, DMD
After seeing how her family member is still able to enjoy food at an older age and going through orthodontic treatment herself, Dr. Lo experienced firsthand the significant impact of having healthy functioning teeth on life quality and the confidence having a new smile can bring and that influenced her to pursue a career in dentistry.
She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine after graduating with Bachelor of Science Highest Distinction from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Dr. Lo believes that a gentle and patient attitude is the most effective way to communicate and has received compliments on how she makes dental experience more comfortable which motivates her with joy. She looks forward to working with you and her foremost goal now is to work with her patients to improve their quality of life and receive the same positive feedback. To accomplish this goal, she makes every effort to address patient concerns and help them achieve their smile in the most caring and professional manner.
Dr. Lo actively participates in continuing education and is a member of the California Dental Association, the Southern Alameda Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In her free time, she balances her wellbeing through reading, yoga and exploring new recipes and local restaurants.
Dr. Rungnapa Yang, DDS, PhD
Pediatric Dentistry
Dr Yang is passionate about providing the best quality of dental care to children of all ages while creating a rewarding and stress-free experience for the parents and their children.
Dr Yang completed her Pediatric Dentistry Specialty training from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, and her doctoral degree from University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry. Dr Yang has extensive years of experiences not only in pediatric dentistry and hospital dentistry, but also in the dental research and academic communities. She stays at the forefront of pediatric dentistry by being an active contributor in dental research publications, book chapters, journal reviews, as well as learning the innovativ clinical approaches.
Dr Yang is the recipient of the prestigious UCSF Pediatric Dentistry Excellence in Dental Care of Pediatric Disabled Patient Award, awarded to only one recipient each year. Additionally, she is awarded numerous research awards from UCSF, USC, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She holds the UCSF Medical Center Hospital Privilege and is a Health Science Clinical Assistant Professor at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and UCSF School of Dentistry.
Dr Yang is an active member the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the International Association for Dental Research. She is board-certified and is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Community wise, Dr Yang serves as one of the five board members of the UCSF Pediatric Alumni Board of Directors, and as a committee member at the UCSF Children's Oral Health Research Center, the world renown research center dedicating to children's oral health.
Dr Yang loves photography, drawing and painting, Zumba, Yoga, traveling around the world to experience new cultures, and spending time with her husband and family.
Dr. Jessica Chiang, DDS
Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Jessica Chiang is an accomplished pediatric dentist with a rich academic background and a passion for fostering community and unity among her peers. Jessica began her academic journey at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she completed her undergraduate studies. She continued her education at UCLA, earning both a Master's degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. As a Pediatric Dental Resident at UCSF, Jessica served as the Outreach Chief, where she worked tirelessly to create a welcoming and cohesive environment for her fellow residents. This leadership role was a highlight of her residency, allowing her to cherish the journey of building a supportive and unified community.
Looking ahead, Jessica is excited to advance her career in both San Francisco and the East Bay. She aims to become a leading advocate for her patients' health and well-being, continuing her dedication to excellence in pediatric dentistry. Outside of her professional life, Jessica enjoys staying active with pickleball and pilates, exploring diverse culinary experiences, singing, and traveling to new destinations. Jessica's journey is marked by her academic achievements, research contributions, leadership during her residency, and her commitment to her future career and patients.
